Alexander Wang New Creative Director for Balenciaga
Update - It's been confirmed by Women's Wear Daily that Alexander Wang is indeed the new creative director of Balenciaga.

Thought the speculation of Christopher Kane for Balenciaga was surprising?
Well prepare to get your Spring 2010 socks knocked off. According to Journalist Cathy Horyn, Alexander Wang himself, who also was reportedly in talks for Dior, is currently the leading candidate for replacing Ghesquiére at Balenciaga. Shocking, no?
As a twisted game of musical chairs appears to be going on in the industry as of late, it may seem that anyone could be replacing anyone (John Galliano for Celine??).
All 'inside sources' aside, I personally believe the biggest candidate is London designer,Christopher Kane. Recent actions such as parting ways with Versus and talks of PPR (who own Balenciaga) about financial backing further drive the possibility that he could be the one.
Whether it will be a American in Paris,A London Revival or something completely from left field...I still wont be able to afford Balenciaga.
